If you’re visiting Singapore with your kids you will probably be thinking about different ways to keep them both entertained and amused as well as things to do that will prevent them from getting overheated in the often high temperatures. Why not plan to spend a few hours here and there is some of the country’s fantastic indoor play areas?
Many of the gleaming malls have good facilities for kids to cut loose and let off steam, and there are many other play centres all around the country. There are even some excellent play areas within the airport! Some restaurants and cafes also have small play areas for children.
Some top indoor play areas to visit with your kids include:
eXplorer Kid @ Downtown East
One of Singapore’s biggest indoor play areas, it is home to activities and attractions that are suitable for varying ages of children. Smaller kids can have fun in the special toddler’s area whilst older kids can have adventurous fun on the rope course and climbing rock. Heaps of play equipment and toys will appeal to almost any child and the glowing ball pit is incredibly popular.
The City, Liang Court
Offering educational play and fun interactive experiences for older children, your kids can have fun with people of their own age as they explore a variety of different life-like locations and act at being young adults. Role play certainly helps to spark their imagination and creativity, and there are also some pretty cool costumes for dressing up in.
Fidgets City, Marina Bay Sands
With child-minding and drop-off services available, this is a great place to leave the kids having fun in a safe and secure environment whilst you hit the dazzling array of stores in one of the best shopping malls in town. A fairly small play area, it offers a decent selection of play equipment and games.
Playful Elves, West Coast Plaza
Designed like an imaginative and enchanted forest, Playful Elves combines indoor nature with loads of great opportunities for play. The mini train and mini racetrack are usually huge hits with kids and the inflatable bouncy castle, various slides, games, toys, and shooting arena offer even more giggles. Qualified members of staff are present in the play area to keep an eye on the kids, leaving you free to relax in the adjacent café.
Amazonia, Great World City
With separate areas for toddlers and bigger children, all kids are sure to enjoy spending time in this wonderful jungle-themed play area. Adults can join in with a game of mini golf with the kids and there are some awesome high structures and slides for daring kids.

A large play centre, as well as soft play areas and fun equipment, you’ll also find some terrific activities that parents can join in with; kids and parents can play together for a great day out. Educational as well as fun, a treasure hunt leads participants through different themed areas following clues and learning in the process. A SAFRA play centre, there is another outlet at Jurong, which is home to a towering slide and a brilliant ball play area.
